Unit Injector Systems (UIS/PD) for HONDA

This injection system was developed by Bosch for the VW Group. Unit injector is a direct fuel injection system for diesel engines, combining the injector nozzle and the injection pump in a single component, also called a pump-nozzle. It is used to inject diesel directly into the cylinders. It is very different system than Common Rail. PD injectors are controlled by the engine control unit via a high-pressure solenoid valve.
